Tarja Turunen

Finnish symphonic metal vocalist and co-founder of Nightwish, Tarja Turunen is celebrated for her extraordinary three-octave vocal range and her role in defining the symphonic metal genre. As a solo artist she became the first Finnish solo act to earn a gold record in Germany, with her debut album My Winter Storm achieving platinum status in Finland and gold in Germany, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
