Philip Glass Ensemble

Founded in New York in 1968, the Philip Glass Ensemble has been the central vehicle for Philip Glass's compositions, performing landmark minimalist works including Music in Twelve Parts and the Koyaanisqatsi trilogy. Led by longtime music director Michael Riesman, the ensemble blends organs, winds, and voices to carry Glass's distinctive pulsating minimalism with rare authenticity and precision.
