Esben Weile Kjær

Esben Weile Kjær is a Danish visual artist based in Copenhagen, a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2022) who also studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt. His practice spans performance, sculpture and installation, drawing on visual languages from youth culture, nightlife and pop culture to explore themes of desire, collective rituals and identity. His work has been presented internationally at Centre Pompidou (Paris), Neue Nationalgalerie (Berlin), MMCA (Seoul) and ARKEN museum for samtidskunst (Ishøj).
