Aly Keita de Kira Arts

Aly Keita is a dance artist with Kira Arts whose work is rooted in the Mandinka epic tradition, a major founding narrative of African oral cultures dating to the 13th century. His choreographic practice investigates the relationships between memory, identity and cultural heritage from personal, communal and societal angles, and is driven by a desire to reconnect with his roots and forge a plural collective memory.
