Sara Curruchich

Guatemalan singer-songwriter and activist Sara Curruchich is the first internationally touring artist to bring the Indigenous Mayan language Kaqchikel to major stages worldwide. She blends cumbia, reggae, rock, chacarera and son jarocho with ancestral Maya traditions in music that addresses racism, patriarchal oppression and solidarity with Indigenous and LGBTQ+ communities.
